Biography of J.N. Darby and other Brethren Pioneers

Darby

"If Darby had occupied Abraham’s position, he might have left behind hardly less than Abraham’s fame.It is easy to picture him dwelling in the land of promise as in a strange country, the contented heir of the promises of the world to come; or communing with God in the night-watches, by the lonely tent and altar that mark the stages of his faithful pilgrimage; or despising the gifts of the King of Sodom, and extending a covenant of peace to Philistine Abimelech.” W.B. NEATBY

Brethren History:

A Brief History of the Plymouth Brethren Movement.

The Plymouth Brethren movement was an independent work of the Holy Spirit, which is apparent from the fact that, in A. D. 1812 and 1820, letters were written between some believers in Great Britain. and  America that showed the spirit of God was moving many to consider their ecclesiastical position. The Brethren believe that the true church was established on the day of Pentecost.  Matthew 16:18,Acts 2:40-42, 1 Cor 12:12-13 .
